The Daily OS Sync is grounded in the neuroscience of circadian rhythm entrainment and morning cortisol optimization. The first 90 minutes after waking represent a critical window in which the brain's stress-response system (the HPA axis) is naturally primed for activation.

Catching 1-Degree Drift Before It Becomes a Crisis
The Quarterly Black Box Audit is the recovery equivalent of the aviation industry's mandatory maintenance cycles. Commercial aircraft are required to undergo scheduled inspections at precise intervals — not because they are expected to be broken, but because early detection of micro-failures prevents catastrophic failures.
The 1-degree drift concept is critical: a ship that is 1 degree off course will miss its destination by miles over a long journey. The Quarterly Audit catches these micro-drifts before they compound.
The Lapse as Data Policy is the final and most important protocol — it converts the most feared event in recovery (a lapse) from a catastrophic failure into a diagnostic tool, stripping it of its power to trigger the Abstinence Violation Effect.
