Pre-Flight Gear Check — The Black Box Coordinates
Navigator, it is time to move from theory to action. These are the Coordinates for your survival in the modern world. Every entry in this workbook is the Black Box data that could save your ship — or someone else's.

Most health clinics, pharmacies, and harm reduction groups give Narcan away for free — no questions asked. Find your nearest distribution point and log the coordinates.
Identify two trusted squad members who can act as Designated Pilots, and one Safe Adult who won't judge you for being prepared.
Most people freeze because they don't know what to say. Pre-load the script now so it runs automatically even when your Amygdala is hijacking the cockpit.
Your Pre-Loaded Radio Script
"My name is [YOUR NAME]. I am at [SPECIFIC ADDRESS / LOCATION]. I have a friend who is unresponsive and not breathing. I have administered [number] dose(s) of Narcan. Please send backup immediately."
These apps act as a Dead Man's Switch — automated rescue dispatch when no Designated Pilot is present. Check off each item as you install it.
Pilot's Field Notes
Once you have completed these tasks, share the coordinates with your squad. You are not just protecting yourself — you are building a Culture of Safety.
The Strategy
You are proving that your fleet is "Elite" — that you respect each other's lives enough to be prepared for the worst asteroids.
The Move
Treat Narcan like your phone charger. You don't leave the house without it because you know you might need to "Reset the System."
The Result
You have the hardware knowledge, the OS codes, and the tactical armor. You are no longer just flying — you are "Strategic Flying."
"You are no longer a target of the Glitch. You are a Navigator who controls the variables. You are staying alive to thrive. This is the ultimate Level Up in the Gear Phase."

Reflection Prompt 1
"Which of the four tasks felt hardest to complete — not technically, but emotionally or logistically? Was it finding Narcan, naming your squad, saying the 911 script out loud, or downloading the app? What does that difficulty tell you about where your real barriers are?"
"Treat Narcan like your phone charger. You don't leave the house without it because you know you might need to Reset the System. This is what being Mission Ready looks like."

Reflection Prompt 2
"What does it feel like to move from "knowing" about safety tools to actually "having" them in place? There's a real psychological difference between information and gear. Describe the shift — does it feel like more responsibility, more security, or something else?"
Navigator Creed · Section 6
"By completing this workbook, you have moved from Foundations (Knowing) to Gear (Having). You are no longer just flying. You are Strategic Flying."
Pilot's Log · Section 6
Prompt: Write the Pre-Flight Gear Check completion entry in your Navigator's Log — your official Mission Ready declaration. Include all four coordinates: (1) Where you will get Narcan and how soon. (2) Your Star Squad roster and why you chose each person. (3) Your Radio Script — committed to memory. (4) Your Digital Shield status and the phone number saved. End with a one-sentence Mission Declaration: what it means that you are now Gear Phase ready.
This entry is saved privately to your Dashboard — ARP Youth Journals.
